When recruitment rhymes with social commitment:
Mind Partners x Sport dans la Ville

In keeping with its commitment to solidarity and social responsibility, Mind Partners UK has been supporting the Sport dans la Ville association since last February : it is as part of its ๐˜ ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ ๐˜›๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฏ๐˜ต๐˜ด programme that our London-based associate Cynthia Ourizi has had the honour of accompanying Missoun Boulekroum, a brilliant student from the french Lyon region.

They meet up every week for an hour’s chat in English.

Missoun is currently completing her Masters in Business Management, specialising in Marketing, Digital Business and International at Esdes Business School. Already demonstrating her professional expertise, she holds a position as Product Marketing Designer at Worldline under an apprenticeship contract.

Why did Sport dans la Ville choose to support you specifically?

“I think I was able to demonstrate my motivation and commitment. What’s more, I expressed a keen interest in improving my level of English, which fits in perfectly with my international career aspirations.”

How have our interviews benefited you and what are your expectations in this respect?

“As I don’t have any opportunities to practise English in depth orally, this opportunity is a real chance. It has enabled me to gain confidence and overcome my apprehension about expressing myself, so that I am now able to carry on a conversation in English with complete ease. Thanks to this skill, I aspire to get a job with an international dimension or located abroad”.

What are you up to now and how do you see your professional future?

“My studies and work-study contract come to an end in September. I’m currently actively looking for a professional opportunity, ideally abroad, for the autumn. I’d like to take up a position as Product Marketing Manager with a company that would enable me to continue my professional development and enhance my skills”.

Do you think that these interviews can be a springboard for you and your professional adventure?

“Yes, I was able to take advantage of Cynthia’s recruitment expertise to conduct mock interviews in English. I now feel prepared and confident enough to express myself, and in particular to hold conversations on various subjects in English. This skill will enable me to access a wider range of professional opportunities.”

Can you share something you’re proud of?

“I’m very proud of my academic and professional achievements. I’ve worked hard to achieve my goals, and those efforts have paid off. Recently, I’ve taken part in several job interviews in English and I’m very pleased to have reached the final stage of the recruitment process.

Mind Partners’ CSR commitment as a common thread running through our offices

We wish Missoun every success in her future career!
We’re really proud to have people in the firm who embody the values we hold dear. And we know that Cynthia is very happy to have shared this experience of mutually enriching exchanges.
We hope that Missoun’s enthusiasm and determination will help her to meet new challenges and take her ambitions as far as she can.

And what about you? And if you too would like to give a helping hand to some determined young people: gogogo!
